I have been spinning POI for 20 years. Plane bending was an important adaptation that helped with lots of variations of moves
Thank you, my shins and erm,, other lower parts of me thank you. Lol my practice session the other day ended with me trying to figure this one out. Lol
So many tutorial on the 2beat weave but this one is by far the best, moves step by step as it should be. Many thanks!!

Most of the fire-juggling shops sell powders you can sprinkle onto your props. They powders are a mixture of powdered metals
would you give a link
@@AntonHasan568 no it's been 10 years since I got any products like that, so I'm not sure who are selling them anymore... and it would depend on your region
Actually, try these guys! theflowfx.com/

Reporting in after 15 years of learning how to spin poi from this guy. I got a B.A. in theater arts, got married, and own a house. I don't spin but I keep telling myself I should pick them up again
I still see so much of your style in other poi dancers. your pacing and transitions have clearly made a big impact.

How wide should a bagua octagon be?
It's just a concept framework. It can be useful to mess around with drawing them on the ground, but it's hard to get it the exact right size for your stepping, especially since your stepping may get wider or more narrow depending on the tempo of the music and other parameters. Better to think of where the centre of the octagon would be, and to visualize stepping around that centre in an octagon. Again, messing around with an actual octagon can be helpful, just don't take it too seriously. It's just a framework to play with, and getting to rigid about a certain step size could backfire.
Ohhhh❤

I’m making my way through this series. Thanks for making these vids.
so good <3
Hi. Where can I find a program where I can modulate the motion of the go? Where to find and how to do what is shown in the first seconds?
I hired a friend to make those animations. I think he used Blender. He just sent me the animations and I used Final Cut Pro to layer them together.
@@playpoivideos Got it. Thank you! I just remember that somewhere on the internet there was a program to modulate these movements.
Super duper ooper loop

He is super helpful and I have learned alot from his videos. I WISH HE WAS STILL MAKING THEM
Nick still rocking the best poi
Graceful your a joy to watch Thank You !
master thank a lot
One of the things I grew to respect in poi is total flow control. This is an excellent example. A lot of folks, myself included, get into this thinking MAN I WANNA GO FAST AND SUPER CRAZY WITH IT. Years in, I realized that matching a music slower beat is FAR FAR more challenging. This dude's got it down pat. That's way more impressive than doing 3 beats and pinwheels at a million miles an hour.
